What a VR developer does.
A virtual reality developer turns a scene and a task into an app that runs smoothly on a headset. Much of the work is interaction design, performance and testing. Unity offers the XR Interaction Toolkit, a component-based interaction system for VR experiences. Meta also documents a full Unity route for its headsets, from the first build to the store.
How we work with your team
You can hand us the whole app or bring your own designers, trainers or 3D artists. Both models work well, as long as the roles are clear from the first week.
| Model | You provide | We provide |
|---|---|---|
| Full project | Goals and subject experts | Design, development and testing |
| Shared team | Your designers or 3D artists | VR development and builds |
| Training project | Your procedure and subject experts | Simulation, testing and builds |

VR projects our developers built.
Our developers built Escape the Urban Underground (Spanish only), our own VR escape room for Meta Quest and PC VR with five interface languages. They built a VR forklift simulator (Spanish only) with a physical steering wheel. For a client, they built Virtual HHeroeSS (Spanish only), a cooperative VR game for Meta Quest 3. We work with OpenXR, which Khronos Group says reduces the time and cost of adapting apps to individual XR platforms.
